The Provincial Court of Nova Scotia is planning two robing ceremonies next month to celebrate judges appointed to that Court during the COVID-19 pandemic.

An independent committee appointed to investigate a complaint against Provincial Court Judge Alanna Murphy has completed its review and dismissed the complaint.

The Hon. Judge Corrine Sparks, the first African Nova Scotian appointed to the Nova Scotia Judiciary and the first African Canadian woman to serve on the Bench, is hanging up her judicial robes.
