The Nova Scotia Court of Appeal will be visiting the Sydney area this week and the public is invited to see the work of the court first-hand.

The application process for the 2025-26 Court of Appeal clerkship opportunities is now open. 

The Nova Scotia Court of Appeal's Annual Report includes information about appeal proceedings in 2023 and the work of court staff and judges outside the courtroom. 

Past and present judges on the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal shared fond memories and high praise for their former colleague, The Hon. Justice J. Doane Hallett, who passed away on March 12.

The Hon. Justice Robin C. M. Gogan, previously a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia in Cape Breton, is the newest judge of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal.
