AJEFNE has recognized The Hon. Lawrence I. O’Neil, Associate Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (Family Division), with the 2019 Jurist of the Year Award for his ongoing support of efforts to facilitate access to justice in French.

The Honourable Castor Williams, a retired Judge of the Provincial Court and the second person of African ancestry to be appointed to the Nova Scotia Judiciary, passed away on Wednesday evening. He was 81.
