Temporary Procedure Changes for Probate Court

Due to ongoing disruptions impacting Canada Post services, the following procedures are being adopted by the Registrars of the Court of Probate for Nova Scotia:

For all estate files in which an Inventory [Form 29 under section 45 of the Probate Court Practice, Procedure and Forms Regulations made under section 106 of the Probate Act S.N.S. 2000, c. 31 (as amended)] is currently outstanding, there will be an extension granted of 30 calendar days after the day that marks the end of the postal disruptions for filing the Inventory.

A Notice to file an Inventory [Form 30 under section 46 of the Probate Court Practice, Procedure and Forms Regulations] will be issued after the extension period if the Inventory has not been filed
