The Honourable Peter Rosinski, Justice of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, is retiring after more than 15 years on the Bench.

“Justice Rosinski is well-respected in the legal community following a nearly 40-year career as a lawyer and a Justice of the Supreme Court,” said the Hon. Deborah K. Smith, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. “Known for his affable nature inside and outside the courtroom, Justice Rosinski will be missed. On behalf of his colleagues on the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, I wish him a happy and restful retirement.”

Justice Rosinski earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree (First Class Honours) in 1981, a Master of Business Administration degree in 1982 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1985, all from Dalhousie University. He was admitted to the Bar of Alberta in 1986, the Bar of Nova Scotia in 1987 and the Bar of Turks and Caicos in 1989.

He practiced law for 24 years, having appeared regularly before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada.
