The Provincial Court Rules govern all applications and proceedings in the Provincial Court of Nova Scotia. These Rules came into effect on Jan. 1, 2013. The Provincial Court also has Practice Directives, which took effect on Jan. 1, 2015.
Due to HVAC issues and high temperatures, the Amherst Courthouse on Church St. will be closed for the remainder of today (June 20, 2025). There will be no front counter service available. All scheduled matters have been moved to the Amherst Supreme Court on Victoria St. An update will be provided when available.
