The current version of the Civil Procedure Rules were developed by the Judges of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and the Court of Appeal on June 6, 2008. Part 13 - Family Proceedings, was completed in April 2010. These rules went into effect on Jan. 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010, ( Part 13 - Family Proceedings), except as provided in Part 19 - Transition, Rule 92. The earlier version of the Rules dated back to 1972.
