OLD CIVIL PROCEDURE RULES (1972)

The Civil Procedure Rules govern proceedings in Nova Scotia's Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. The Civil Procedure Rules are made and amended by the Judges of the Supreme and Appeal Courts under the authority of the Judicature Act R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 240, s. 46.
The Judges of the two Courts made new Civil Procedure Rules on June 6, 2008. Part 13 - Family Proceedings - was completed in April of 2010.
These new Rules took effect as of January 1st, 2009 and June 30th, 2010 (Part 13 - Family Proceedings) except as provided in Part 19 - Transition, Rule 92.
